Biking in Langhe wine country

Julia and I put our bikes in the Alfa and headed south about 50 min to Langhe - One of Italy's most important wine regions. The hilly area, beautiful views and low traffic roads make it perfect for a day of biking.

This 14th century castle was a great find - one of the oldest still in good condition which was never converted to a private residence during the Renaissance period, thus, it is mostly in it's original form

The small village at the base of the castle was considered "medieval urbanism".

Not by any stretch - Only getting a ride or two a week as we've had Julia's parens here for a week. We have a good stretch coming up for Nov, so once I return from Oct travels, I hope to be riding more often.
Cheers,
Jim
